Many in the private equity world make personal contributions to help support worthy causes. But at Huntsman Gay Global Capital, philanthropy is not just an ideal--it is an integral component of our firm's mission and operations. We directly leverage our financial performance to fund organizations that provide important humanitarian benefits in the U.S. and around the world. The principals of the organization have donated hundreds of millions of dollars to charitable causes. We have strong track records of philanthropic commitment to a variety of causes and continually seek new ways to make a positive impact. When creating Huntsman Gay Global Capital, we decided that aligning the firm's operations with philanthropic goals at the outset would be a more effective approach than addressing philanthropy only intermittently through individual generosity.Huntsman Gay takes a three-pronged approach to philanthropy with contributions made by the firm as a whole, by funding contributions directed by individual managing directors, and through employee contribution matching.Through the combination of this multi-faceted approach to giving, we are dedicated to creating an innovative philanthropic program that has positive impact on the world and that becomes a model in and beyond the private equity world.Below is a listing of the major beneficiaries of Huntsman Gay's philanthropic giving.
